"And to the
ends of the earth"

Why Nepal?

“The Father’s heart is broken for the lost.”  Our motivation.  Our passion.  What drives us.  The why, in all we do.  Roy Moran, author of Spent Matches taught, “Start with, sustain by and end with the Father’s heart.”

Economically, Nepal is the second poorest nation in Asia.  Adding to the complexity is the rigid caste system which isolates the poor from financial upward mobility.

  • Population: 30 million

  • At Poverty: 5.61 million (18.7%) live below US$2.50 per day

  • At Risk of Poverty: 9.36 million (31.2%) earns US$2.5 to $3.50 per day

  • Total: 14.97 million (49.9%) of population face poverty

Geographically, Nepal is landlocked.  She borders India and China.  To the north are the majestic Himalayan mountain ranges, an impenetrable natural barrier.  Her air, land and sea routes are undeveloped.  Nepal’s roads are the worst in Asia.  The annual monsoon season shuts down highways and landslides make rural roads perilous.

Religiously, for 239 years Nepal was a Hindu kingdom, until 2008.  Of those practicing faith, Hinduism is predominant at 81%.  Second is Buddhism at 8.2%.  Christianity is 1.7%.  Nepal’s constitution does not permit anyone to convert another.  Anti-conversion laws are enforced by legal prosecution and societal persecution.

Yet, God calls.  Because, the Father’s heart is still broken for the lost.

Obeying the Call

In April 2019, flying back from Kathmandu to JFK, God called Pastor Kenny to spread the Gospel across Nepal.

We started with zero budget, zero staff, and zero local team. Sustained by faith in God's call and His goodness, Kenny, Winny, and Debbie obeyed.

Since 2019, God moved and continues to lead us.

In just seven years, we:

  • Trained 941 churches

  • Planted 109 Bible Study Groups

  • Weekly, 4,645 kids hear the Gospel

  • Developed 10 Staff, 25 Interns, 385 Teachers, 151 Volunteers
